A young man looks for the cleanest socks in the neighborhood before some party can distract him from his task. Ignacio is a dedicated university student, a model of hard work and study, who wishes to have white socks and searches for the product which can make that available to him. The goal of the actions in this short film is the perfect white —the kind of white that shows Ignacio's cleanliness and personality, as well as his trivial values.
To have control over matter is a part of civilization's features and, also, a feature of a habit that Ignacio wants to perfect in spite of the distractions caused by one of his friends. Without attempting to filter the normality of the actions, at least two sequences will be key to indicate how one can come out from everyday life without great narrative or visual devices.
By using archive images, this short film acquires a bit of verisimilitude that montage itself does not provide. Ignacio, as a boy, plays by a pool with his siblings. The weather is ideal and timeless, marked by the flaws of time within the texture of the image. Thus helped by the format, we perceive the stains of a nostalgia that seeks to be projected in another moment of Ignacio's life.
